An older couple lives upstairs in the apartment. They are both tee-totalers. It sounded like he was throwing her against the wall, and she was screaming bloody murder. I called the cops because I was afraid she was seriously hurt. The cops said they were both intoxicated, and that just escalated the argument. So, now they are still both upstairs. Since this is a house with only a bottom and top apartment, they know who called.

I fully understand this...!

I live in an apartment on the first floor and just a few hours ago one of the little girls was screaming bloody murder upstairs from me and there was a lot of loud banging. I didn't get the impression that she was being injured...just maybe throwing a tantrum or something. But it took me back to not so great days as a youngster and my anxiety went through the roof.

Sorry this happened tonight. I hope you start to feel better soon!!

Im sorry that happened to you - I called the police on my neighbour once when he was beating up his wife and they knocked at my door after they had seen them to tell me they were ok - he was a big man and it was scary for a while but thankfully they all moved out - I often wonder if shes ok...

you did the right thing - maybe they wont remember/realise it was you if they had been drinking - I hope things calm down for you
