Re: Couch 248: Curiouser and Curiouser

I love Mr. Blandings (the film).

The plumbing was all replaced a few years before I bought, so that should be okay.

Ex-hankster seems more like an historic gas line to me… :poke:

Re: Virtual Visit

Sounds like you'll be in your car, so you might be able to use rubber bands to attach the phone to the rear-view mirror.

Re: Couch 248: Curiouser and Curiouser

Wow - exhankster and I are very nearly historic subpanels. Electricity (or lack there of) is one of the joys of an older house - the first thing I had to do when I bought my 120+ yr old house ( at...

Night owls only: what do you find to be the most annoying thing?

Personally as a night owl, I cannot stand being talked down to by early birds and them bragging about about they never stay up all night and they go to bed on time and have a “good sleep schedule”.

Re: Couch 248: Curiouser and Curiouser

I am discovering one of the joys of historic houses is the unexpected surprises.

For instance, I had electricians here yesterday to replace a 76 year old subpanel.

Re: Couch 248: Curiouser and Curiouser

I guess i would see somebody saying, "i might not be online for a while" as scary or manipulative, trying to get me to ask why. If they know the reason, i would prefer they start with that. My family...

I wouldn't have thought of that from either side for me. But glad she got to the reassuring part for you eventually

Re: Bipolar Check-in #80

Ughh I've had the vomit through the nose. Things other than snot/boogers (blood?) shouldn't come out of the nose. It's illegal.

Sounds like you've been getting closer to answers to your health...

Re: Couch 248: Curiouser and Curiouser

How would the conversation be backwards? looks like she just wanted to give a heads up if she was not online. Seems thoughtful to me if it was in a situation where people might be concerned. What...

Re: This emotional abuse tactic

Part of what you talk about is being given step-by-step instructions, which is a form of gaslighting someone. As a Veteran of the army, I have been on this battlefield many times with my

mum's...

Re: This emotional abuse tactic

It sounds to me like they all feel inferior to you. It's like cats' "mounting behavior", trying to show who's boss.

But was it ever really in dispute? :poke:  Of course not. They show...

Re: Sleep Disturbance

Usually side effects like sleeping a long time are short lived. The anger though could have many reasons. I’d give the meds a week or two to see what is really the side effect and see if the benefits...

I just now saw these. Sorry, I haven't been checking in regularly, as I'd like to.

Thank you so much for the advice. The important numbers are the ones other than on the scale--my glucose, my...

Unhappy Re: Our health issues

I USED to have dark hair. I’ll trade you. I’ll never understand why anyone want this color. Because of it even certain colors of clothing don’t look good on me. :rolleyes2: And where are MY hugs...

Re: Sleep Disturbance

I'm so sorry that happened to you. I wish I had answers for you but sadly I am at a loss. Hopefully others here can shed some light on what might have caused your long sleep and untypical anger.

Sleep Disturbance

I will keep it simple: My oncologist changed my pain control, so I slept for 15 hours. It's the first time ever, and I feel weird. My friend called me when I woke up and told me something someone did...

Red face Re: Embarassing to Post

There is nothing wrong with you ...

You have a kind heart, & don't want to hurt anybody.

Finding a way to step back from relationships that no longer benefit us isn't easy.

As my health...

Embarassing to Post

I had thought about it before, but I just had a long sleep slumber. This is almost ridiculous, but I'm unsure how to talk to a therapist about it, as this is the most pathetic thing of all time. Out...

Yes, my 'friend' is now not talking to me. Great friend. I do expect answers from a friend. I've given him attention and time over the years, but he rarely shows up for me. I guess that's a 'me'...

Re: Roll Call 203

So far today I’ve meditated for 30 minutes, studied music theory for 45 minutes, and got on the treadmill for 45 minutes. All that’s left to do today is practice violin for an hour, practice ukulele...
