I found this website in a search this morning as I felt overwhelmed driving in to work by my feelings of anxiety and depression. I have had depression since I went away to college. I hate to say how long ago that was, but I have always had trouble talking about it. In fact, I've never actually talked about it. Lately, I feel as though it has become more difficult for me to control though. I took the Sanity test and got a 129. The scale apparently goes from 0-288, I assume 288 is the worst case scenario. Here is the breakdown of my test results and I am hoping someone can help out there who is a professional or at least has experience in this field, as I don't know who or where to turn. General Coping-86, Life Events-53, Depression-63, Anxiety-62, Phobias-50, Self-Esteem-100, Eating Disorders-20, Schizophrenia-5, Disassociation-17, Mania-50, Sexual Issues-13, Relationship Issues-44, Alcohol-8, Drugs-0, Physical Issues-0, Smoking Issues-0, Gambling Issues-0, Technology Issues-31, Obsessions/Compulsions-81, Posttraumatic Stress-42, and Borderline Traits-71.

I would appreciate any information.

Hello, msaltzma1, and welcome to Psych Central! Actually, in the scheme of things your score could be a lot higher, as you say.

You might want to check out the Anxiety and also Depression forums here, since you say that's what you are aware of right now.

We don't have professionals here who comment on such issues. What we do suggest, though, is folks taking their scores to a professional and talking about them.....This "test" is rather accurate, but it doesn't take the place of professional evaluation. Okay?

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
