I was exploring the site today and I got my Sanity Score: 46. Compared to some other people I've seen post in this forum, this is pretty good, but indicative that I do have some things going on. What it identified as mild issues were these:

Technology issues - 44
I am addicted to technology. I love my phone. I hate that I can't plug in my laptop right now because we're having a thunderstorm and the power has already gone out once and it might kill the laptop if I have it plugged in. If it goes out for any significant amount of time I'll lose wifi. So horrible. -exaggerated- I really don't know what I can do to cope with this besides, say, taking a month-long sabbatical to some exclusive part of the country where cell phone service is just a myth. But at the same time I kind of don't care.

Anxiety - 41
Okay, fine, I worry about stuff. But I get it from my mother. She's the kind that makes you hold it during a thunderstorm, even though you risk soiling the couch, because lightning could jump through the toilet and electrocute and kill you.

Life Events - 31
The only things I can think of that would be pushing this score would be due to my grades in college this year, adopting a new cat, and all the stress my mom has been having in her life being dumped (unintentionally of course) onto me.

Would any of you say that these are worth looking into for more professional help?

Edit: Everything else if anyone's interested.
Mania - 20
Obsessions/Compulsions - 19
General Coping - 18
Dissociation - 17
Depression - 16
Schizophrenia - 15
Borderline traits - 13
Relationshp issues - 13
Phobias - 8
Posttraumatic stress - 8
Eating disorders - 5
Everything else - 0

Hi Snickie! I think therapy can be beneficial for anyone, not just those who have diagnosed mental illness. Do you feel as if you'd like to talk to someone about your anxiety and the stress your feeling? If so I think you should look into.
Therapy can help you sort through your issues and give you great and lasting coping skills. Good luck!

I agree that therapy is useful and good for anyone. It gives you someone you can trust and talk to about things you may not want to talk to with a friend or family member. T's also help teach you tools/coping skills to get you through hard times, which I believe could be beneficial to anyone.
Be well,

Celtic
