Your Sanity Score

47

Based upon your answers, you appear to be in good mental health. Congratulations! You may experience specific mental health concerns, relationship issues, or other issues that come up from time to time in your life, but your overall mental health score suggests that you deal with these well. People with similar scores are more resilient than most people, handle stress appropriately, have good relationships with others, and are able to cope with the in's and out's of everyday life with grace and ease.
(The Sanity Score is based upon a scientific algorithm with scores ranging from 0 - 288.)
Your specific subscores are below (subscales range from 0 - 100). Under the graph of subscores, you will find additional information regarding the meaning of any significant scores or areas that may be of concern.
General Coping 14
Life Events 28
Depression 3
Anxiety 12
Phobias 0
Self-Esteem 0
Eating Disorders 5
Schizophrenia 20
Dissociation 8
Mania 35
Sexual Issues 31
Relationship Issues 25
Alcohol 75
Drugs 0
Physical Issues 0
Smoking Issues 0
Gambling Issues 0
Technology Issues 38
Obsessions/Compulsions 0
Posttraumatic Stress 8
Borderline Traits 17

Your BMI: 17.9

Your body mass index (BMI) is a measure of body fat based on height and weight that applies to both adult men and women. BMI correlates with body fat. The relation between fatness and BMI differs with age and gender. For example, women are more likely to have a higher percent of body fat than men for the same BMI. On average, older people may have more body fat than younger adults with the same BMI. Your BMI: You may be:Below 18.5 Underweight 18.5 - 24.9 Normal 25.0 - 29.9 Overweight 30.0 and Above Obese
Life Events: You're experiencing events in your life that may be negatively affecting your overall mental health and your ability to cope with other things in your life. This may also affect your mood.
Mania & Bipolar Disorder: People with scores similar to yours often complain of symptoms commonly associated with bipolar disorder (also known as manic-depression), or a minor form of bipolar disorder (called bipolar II). Bipolar disorder is characterized by a swing in moods from depression to mania (having racing thoughts, an excess of energy, inability to maintain attention, etc.). Bipolar disorder at this level may interfere with a person's normal, everyday life and sometimes impair functioning in social relationships, work, school, and other areas of one's life. You can learn more about the symptoms and types of bipolar disorder here.

People who report similar levels of bipolar symptoms may benefit from professional treatment for their concern through a combination of psychotherapy and medication.
Sexual Issues: People with scores similar to yours often have a minor or moderate sexual issue that is causing them some concern.
Relationship Issues: People with scores similar to yours often have a minor or moderate relationship issue that is causing them some concern.
Alcohol/Drug Issues: People with scores similar to yours often complain about one or more serious alcohol or drug problems. Such a problem is not something an individual can often get under control on their own without outside or additional assistance. If you are not already seeking help for this issue, you would probably benefit in talking with a mental health professional who specializes in alcoholism or substance abuse. You might also benefit from seeking out a support group, either in your community or online.
Technology Issues: People with scores similar to yours sometimes complain about having difficulty controlling their time or use of the Internet and other technologies. They may check email obsessively, or IM friends all the time. Generally, most people do not consider this a problem or issue unless it is seriously affecting your relationships with your friends, your family members, or your significant other.
Recommendations

You have 1 serious concern that we've identified. Generally such concerns should be checked out with a mental health professional as soon as you can. You can find a mental health professional within your local community through your insurance provider or through an online therapist directory. Get help immediately if these concerns are overwhelming or you feel your health or safety is at risk.
You have 5 milder concerns that we've identified. Such concerns may be a part of an ordinary person's usual up's and down's in life. However, if any of these issues cause you worry or concern, please consult with your physician or a mental health professional for further information.

I was suspected to have autism as a young child.
Because I'm socially a loner and a few other characteristics.
In High School, at 15 and 16, my T had said I displayed hpd symptoms.
I have had a substance abuse problem since I was 14.
I have a gf and I have had issues with this in our relationship.
I get more honest than I should when I'm drunk.
I have impulses, but I can control them when I'm sober normally.
I have no record of anything. But I have thoughts normally.
I have a dad, who was diagnosed with ASPD.
I also have been told I have NPD tendencies,
but not by a professional.
My mom is a loner. I'm comfortable alone.
I never craved to be close to another besides sexually.
My relationships have always been connected to sex.
Even with my gf.
Speaking of my gf there is some friction in our relationship.
We're expecting. So I have sexual/relational difficulties lately.
But I am more amazed that I have stuck through it this long.
I, usually, just move on. I've thought about it, but I am weighing my option.
It's better to stay right now.
What I don't get is why the score's so low if I got all this?

How or where do you get your sanity score? Is it one quiz (that I haven't been able to find to take) or do you just take all the quizzes and it calculates your score? I want to know mine but don't know how to get it.

Well, the test doesn't even look for things like autism, ADHD, NPD, HPD. AsPD and so on.

Maybe it's to do with how well you cope with what's going on in your life?? Maybe Doc John or one of the liaisons could answer this.

Alone & confused, Have you been to see a mental health professional about your concerns? With a child on the way you want to be at your healthiest for your family.

Haven't been in the local mental health clinic in several years. They have a hard time keeping psychiatrists there. I was mainly just curious as to what my score would be. Thankfully it's the one child I have that HASN'T been diagnosed with any MIs who is having the baby. Maybe he won't inherit anything the rest of us have! Thank you for asking! Concerned and sportive people like you are what makes PC such a wonderful place for me! I love this site & all of you!

I have BPD and NPD traits... but, for the most part I like who I am. I'm happily married with a 5 year old, and looking seriously at my problems, take responsibility for my issues, and get better.
I got a 40 the last time I took the test.

Yeah I know I thought it would apply more appropriately than it did.

I think it just gives you an idea of how well you are coping.... And the problem areas it pointed out were appropriate.
