Your Sanity Score
111

Based upon your answers, you appear to be experiencing some distress at the moment -- your overall mental health is affected by this distress. People with similar scores tend to experience more difficulty in coping with life, and may feel like they need more help than they're currently getting. Because of this, your mental health could likely use a little boost. If you have been feeling this way for longer than 2 weeks' time, people similar to you have sought out professional care from a mental health professional, such as a psychologist, psychotherapist or psychiatrist.

Your specific subscores are below. Under the graph of subscores, you will find additional information regarding the meaning of any significant scores or areas that may be of concern.

General Coping 61
Life Events 34
Depression 59
Anxiety 37
Phobias 8
Self-Esteem 75
Eating Disorders 45
Schizophrenia 20
Dissociation 17
Mania 50
Sexual Issues 6
Relationship Issues 31
Alcohol 25
Drugs 0
Physical Issues 50
Smoking Issues 0
Gambling Issues 0
Technology Issues 75
Obsessions/Compulsions 38
Posttraumatic Stress 33
Borderline Traits 42

... so I have 4 serious concerns and 10 milder concerns. I have never felt this... abnormal?

And I'm overweight... which I already knew, but my BMI = ouch.

---------------------------

Overall though, very interesting. I guess it's just a matter of now "resolving" my problems.

*sigh*

I got a low self esteem score too, Canders. Technology issues (?)-that's probably from you being addicted to PC? Hmmmm? Well, now I definetely don't feel well-adjusted

I say this partiailly with humor and partially seriously.

Go for it.... wonky. ;-)

Wonky is my word. Well, now I definetely don't feel well-adjusted I should, we'd probably both get a laugh out of it.

You're right Pat, absolutely right. I wouldn't have my friends any other way.

I find the use of the word "sanity" in the title of the quiz rather odd. It cheapens it. First of all, I don't think there are any insane people here on PC. Some of us may call ourselves crazy, most of us have disorders that we're dealing with, but we're not insane.

I would think that a person who truly is insane wouldn't WONDER if they're insane and wouldn't take a quiz. Don't insane people think they're perfectly normal? If someone is asking if they're insane, it probably means they're not. What is the definition of insanity anyway?

Someone who gets a very high score on this quiz isn't insane. They may have disorders like PTSD or clinical depression, but they're not insane. So, I don't like the title of the quiz. I guess it's catchy from a marketing point of view, but I think it's inappropriate. I used to work in advertising. It sounds like something that we might have come up with in a brainstorming session. It's short and alliteration can make a product name more memorable.

Mental Health Score doesn't roll off the tongue in the same way, but IMO it would make more sense in the context of this quiz.

I have to chime in here as it seems that people are giving this quiz thing alot of validity when it has none. This kind of thing is meant for fun and has no scientific validity when it comes to measuring how sane (not even a clinical word) or insane you are, or your mental health status at all. What it does portray is how you view your own mental health, and we know that there is little correlation with how patients view thier own mental health status and what it really is. Please take this quiz with a grain of salt....... Have fun with it, but don't take the results to your doc or T, and don't take the results as any kind of valid measure.

Thanks for reiterating that Dr. S Well, now I definetely don't feel well-adjusted

I know that it's not scientifically valid (I'm in psych, and took the stupid Research Methods and Stats course so I've got a vague idea) ... it was just a bit - shocking.
