Just took the test and I got a 119. I actually already have an appointment this Thursday with a new psychologist.

My question is - should I bring this? Is there an easily-printable version, that shows the answers I put for the questions?

I had bad experiences with shrinks in the past, but I really need it to work this time. I need to get my life under control.

Hi, eilenekb, welcome to PsychCentral.

It might be an interesting thing to take to your new therapist, help you think of things to comment on and questions for them to ask? It's just a "fun" test for self use, but it does tell us stuff about ourselves we can think about.

I'll be thinking about you Thursday, hope that goes well and this therapy relationship works for you. Have you read any in the Psychotherapy forum a couple forums down here? We do a lot of talking there about questions and problems in our various therapy situations.

my psychiatrist is absolutely against all the tests on the internet

he says they have no vailidity whatsoever when it comes to diagnosing mental health issues....

I kinda agree

Brian, this test is a little different in that it's not just out on the Internet somewhere, as a distraction/game, but is on a mental health site that is for helping people deal with mental health issues. It's not for diagnosing, only a doctor or therapist should do that but it is a good indication of what might be currently going on with someone. It gives a direction to look in.

I brought my test results in to my Therapist. I just wrote down the scores and the score ranges for each category. Basically the summary and my Therapist was glad to see it. The funny thing was that the sanity score corresponded to what he was already thinking about me. I brought it to the second appointment though so we had already talked some. Maybe it would be good to talk first. Although if you print out all the questions and fill in the answers that could be even more helpful. Unfortunatly there isn't a real easy way to do this. I think you would just have to take the test again and print each browser page as you did it.
