Based upon your answers, you appear to be experiencing some distress at the moment in your life, dealing with things that you may sometimes find overwhelming. People with similar scores tend to be coping relatively well with daily life, but sometimes feel overwhelmed by certain moods, feelings, or situation. Your mental health is fairly good and you're on an even keel. Some people with similar scores find mental health treatment from a psychologist, psychiatrist, or psychotherapist targeted to a specific disorder, issue or problem helpful to their overall feelings and coping skills. Others feel they are doing just fine the way they are.

Then at the bottom -Recommendations
You have 6 serious concern(s) that we've identified. Generally such concerns should be checked out with a mental health professional as soon as you can. You can find a mental health professional within your local community through your insurance provider or through an online therapist directory. Get help immediately if these concerns are overwhelming or you feel your health or safety is at risk.

You have 3 milder concern(s) that we've identified. Such concerns may be a part of an ordinary person's usual up's and down's in life. However, if any of these issues cause you worry or concern, please consult with your physician or a mental health professional for further information.

So first it says "Your mental health is fairly good and you're on an even keel." Then at the bottom it says "Generally such concerns should be checked out with a mental health professional as soon as you can." On one hand it looks like I am fine, and on the other hand, I am not doing so fine?" a tad confused a tad confused

Oh and I was in therapy for 5 years and was told I had PTSD. According to this quiz, I don't have it?

Maybe I think too much and being crazy if that is what I am, isn't all that bad..

I have an answer for all the higher scores
Depression 72
Anxiety 70
Eating Disorders 75
Dissociation 75
Self-Esteem 83

Depression -I don't "feel" depressed. Motivation is the key here. If I were to get myself "motivated" am sure the score for depression would be 0.

Anxiety - ok, so I tend to be anxious. Maybe I am just overly anxious because I am not motivated, therefore creating anxiety. Makes sense to me

Eating Disorders.. Fact is I just eat too much. If I were to get myself "busy" I know I would eat less. I just have to control my eating habits.

Dissociation 75 - Geesh, not all forgetting is dissociation. Not paying attention to what one is doing. Maybe things don't seem "important" at the time and remembering isn't always necessary. Whatever happened to the simple words of "just plain forgetting"? Dissociation needs to be removed from all dictionaries and everyone's vocabulary. Such a stupid word.. ugh

Self-Esteem 83.. This would be maybe the results of over eating, forgetting, being anxious and feeling bad that I do eat too much. Which in fact, when one has gained weight, one doesn't always feel all that great about themselves. So getting motivated could solve everything and not to forget to push that plate of food away...IMHO

i wouldnt take the quizz to seriously, there's to many things it doesn't take into account
also - the crappier I felt the better my score
so it's not something to take to seriously. IMHO

Thanks Blue and Kiya.

I agree with you Blue. Prob is best not to take the quiz too seriously. And as Kiya said, "if you have concerns, see some guidence."

At this point, I don't think I am bothered enough "with the issues the results suggested" to seek therapy. Guess that is why I love the Internet so much. Everything and anything I need to know can be found online. What would we do without the Internet? smile

LOL, Radio, you coped well with your major concerns just like it said; came up with answers that suited you so they wouldn't be a problem at the moment. Just like it says.

Hi there Perna. a tad confused
They say if it isn't broken then don't try to fix it. Seems I don't feel broken, maybe a tad different than most. Then maybe I am not all that "different". Maybe I should relish and cherish what may be differences and focus on the positive on things I can do at this time. And to remember to take one day at a time.
