How do you get something...like the "rescue remedy" but STRONGER? I mean that WORKS (rescue remedy feels like some kind of tea. doesn't help...)
I don't want another treatment made of plants i don't believe it will work with MY anger and craziness and crying like a ****ing kid and biting myself for ridiculous reasons.
I assume that you have to go to your family doctor and tell her the problem?

I need it for PMs - i have searched articles about PMDD here on this site
But i think that in the end i NEED some kind of doctor prescribe the meds for me?

I assume i cant just go out there and take whatever.......

You should be discussing meds with your Dr. If you're looking for a good class of drugs to reduce anxiety - the benzodiazapenes are good, but Dr.'s are sometimes hesitant about prescribing them, because they're highly addictive. But if you only need them to get through PMS then that probably wouldn't be a problem.

I don't have a lot of faith in herbal remedies - not enough research and no standardization of strength.

If you're looking for herbal stuff,

Valerian root - helps you sleep/calm down.
St. Johns Wort - used for mild-moderate depression (acts as an antidepressant)

Anything with chamomile, lavender, or lemon balm are generally called "calming" herbs.

Ah, sorry my bad I misunderstood. Yes, you should talk to your doctor and get a prescription for something. There are all sorts of drugs out there that may help.

I would say a benzo like others have said but they can be very addictive. There is also Buspar which I was told is not a benzo is not addictive but you have to take it everyday. Hope this helps some.
