It seems to be no matter which antipsychotic I take I get akathisia. I've tried 2 medications: Cogentin + Artane (at different times) and neither worked. I'm on 20mg/day of Valium but it doesn't really help. What other options are there?

Hi,

I have no personal experience with it, but I've heard good things about Geoden. Maybe that would help. I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for the suggestion about Geodon but I got a rash from it, and it also caused restlessness. Not willing to go back on that medication. But thanks for the suggestion.

I've tried Seroquel. It actually made my hallucinations worse. Plus it didn't even help my insomnia. I'm avoiding this medication like the plague. That and Abilify which also gave me akathisia, but also gave me dysphagia.
