I have been trying to get off paxel a drug for depression, I have been on it for 10 yrs. since my husband died. Does anyone know if I can just stop taking it or start slowly, and how long would it take to be completely done.

Dear Linda,
Don't do this without the help of a doctor as there are possible nasty side effects which can result with the tapering of this med. Plan on the taper being several weeks, maybe a couple of months or so depending upon your system but first contact your doctor so he/she can tell you how to titrate the taper.
