I'm on Cymbalta 60mg, Wellbutrin XL 300mg, and just stopped Provigil 100mg. The Provigil and Wellbutrin together were just too much for me: I was jittery, but not particularly motivated or productive -- just amotivated and jittery. NOT a great combination, let me tell you...

So, can anyone suggest whether one of the meds involved might be causing the crashes I have every day? About noon I need a nap, then again at about 5 or 6PM. I'm not liking this, it increases my distress, because I am not accomplishing anything at all these days.

Any suggestions for possible solutions? Thanks!

I don't know how meds work for you as they work differently for different people. But I was on Wellbutrin XL and Provigil and I felt the same way. So they took me off Wellbutrin, kept me on Provigil and added Abilify. It's worked great for me. I still lack energy some days, but most days I'm energetic and need no nap.

I hope this helps... I am going to have a sleep study done this coming month, because I am ALWAYS tired. I have been on provigil and some days it would work while other days it wouldn't. So right now I am on adderall xr in the mornings and I am to take dexedrine a half hour before I have to pick my husband up from work at 11pm. I do find the adderall does give me some energy and I dont nap on the days I take the medication as long as I am not overly stressed out. Maybe the adderall xl would help you as well. Good Luck

My guess is it's the Wellbutrin. I've been on both Wellbutrin and Cymbalta, though not at the same time, and I think I was tending to be more tired while on Wellbutrin. I'm not tired at all on Cymbalta. Are you taking Wellbutrin during the day? I'd check to see if you can take it at bedtime instead, if so.

I know this seems kind of simplistic... but have you maybe tried a late-afternoon snack? Maybe you're having a sugar crash. Or if you have morning caffeine it may be a caffeine crash.

I was in need of some daytime energy/motivation so my Dr. tried 30mg. Adderall XR, 2 x daily.Dextroamphetamine Sulfate extended release capsules 10mg. up to 4 daily. Along with my Effexor XR (225mg.) and Risperdal (1mg). I don't sleep very well. I have a primary sleep disorder plus sleep apnea plus a REM sleep disorder. plus insomnia. That combination works pretty well. If I take too many Dextroamphetamines I have gotten a bit "jittery" but I try to avoid that.

you mean the doctor can give you something to help with energy/motivation? I did not know that..........I might ask my Phsytrist when I come home from vacation and see if she can give me something...
{{{{{{{{{{{{Gene}}}}}}}}}}}}} I too lack motivation/energy....so I am interested in hearing what others have to say.........going to ask my doctor too

How to get some energy? T_MD? Larry? Cam?
