Any one have any experiences with this med? I was prescribed it to help me sleep and I'm having a hard time finding out much about it!

Thanks!

Yes, I've switch between zopiclone and zolpidem (ambien) for the last 6 years. They are both types of hypnotics, and have similar effects to valium and that group of meds. Zopiclone is VERY addictive and should only be used short term. Unfortunately I was left on it for too long and now I'm completely dependant on it. Did you're doctor explain any of this to you? If you are looking for more info on it try a google search. I would really encourage you not to use it long term and only to use it when its really needed. Also are you in therapy? Or is there somewhere you can explore the reasons why you're having trouble sleeping? Sorry I'm not on here very often so I don't really know anyone.

Thanks for this!

I took it for a couple of weeks for sleep last year, and they certainly did what they were supposed to do - well, most of the time. There are some discussions of it here http://experience.patient.co.uk/disc...list.php?d=194. Take care
