I've been on Seroquel for awhile now. It's worked miracles as far as helping me sleep... I'm on 400mg of it. I've did lower dosages and worked my way up to this since I've built a 'tolerance' for it.
Anyway, after I take it I stay up until it kicks in instead of laying in bed. I usually sit at my computer and chat until it hits (and have to retype a dozen times because I can't think straight from the seroquel making me disorented) but a few nights back I was walking to the kitchen and all at once I just fell and it seemed the room was spinning around me. It kinda took my breath away. I had to literally crawl to my bedroom and pull myself up on the bed. Basically, it felt as if I were on extacy or acid or something. It was crazy! Has anyone else experienced similar problems? Confusion, body moves slower, seems the room is spinning? This is normal, I hope, right?

I dunno what to say right now I'm taking Fluoxetine and it take a couple of weeks so to kick in. It could be the medication take has this affect on you. But I find myself really dizzy at school where I never eating anything until I get home. If the medication is making everything weird check like a GP who perscribed with the medication to see if it's ok for you!

Seroquel always made me feel "drunk" when I was taking it. I have literally walked into walls on it.

What is Fluoxetine for? Never heard of that.
I was put on Seroquel to help me sleep because I have insomnia pretty bad, but I never noticed how dizzy and crazy it made me feel until the night I actually walked around some to the kitchen. I've never walked around on it before. Would go straight from my computer desk to my bed which I can touch from my desk. Since that happened, I've gotten up to walk around several other times and I get real dizzy and can't breathe real good until I lay down. Is it supposed to make you this loopy?

I was on it as an anti psychotic not a sleep drug. It always made me feel like you describe. It made me feel really really drunk. I couldn't do much when I was taking it. I don't take it anymore.

Did you take yours before bedtime as well, MD? I've heard of some taking it during the day and I just can't see how anyone could take Seroquel during the day. I can barely function after it kicks in at nighttime. Takes me about an hour to finally wake up the next morning, but after I'm finally up, I'm ok again until that night when I take it.

Yeah I took it in the morning and at night time. I took it for psychotic manic episodes. It didn't put me to sleep because it didn't kill my racing thoughts and that is what keeps me up normally.
