MY doctor uses Geodon and Klonopin for sleep and a stabilizer.
I am on Wellbutrin for depression and Ritalin to boost my energy
level. I am interested in using Lamictal but he says it causes
weight gain which he knows would bother me. I read so many
positive comments on how well it works to stabilize but I worry
that I would have to go off my other meds and then I would not
be able to sleep.
Does anyone have any comments?

I haven't found Lamictal to cause weight gain, and it's marketed as being weight neutral.
I take Lamictal and Wellbutrin, plus Klonopin as needed (I'm BP II)

Lamictal is weight neutral. Never had a problem with it causing weight gain.

I was put on Lamictal and actually lost about 5 lbs within the first few weeks. I have stabilized since then but I have found the opposite - I lost weight.

I have been on Lamictal since Feb 2010 and I have actually LOST weight. It does not cause weight gain from what I have found, but it is listed as a possible side effect.
