Hi Everyone,
four days ago i started wellbutrin, the generic one, and side effects have been bad. The first two days, I felt great, then day three, i could hardly stay awake, and felt so sick, stomach and headache.
My anxiety has spiked like no other and i am so nervous about taking this med. I am seriously just scared to take this med. I didn't want to go back on AD's, but the shape i was in, it was that or stay depressed the rest of my life.
I have been very very sensitive to most drugs, my whole life, not just AD's but major pain meds and stuff like that. Just make me very sick.
How long should i go on with side effects? I have heard it can take 4-6 weeks for this drug to actually work and stabilize me, but my job is already stressful enough, i don't know if i can work through the side effects in the mean time!
AHHH Drugs are so helpful, but so hard on my system.

My dr put me on 150 in the morning and will not be increasing, she wants to see if 150 is enough for me.
Any help or experiences would be very helpful. This is the drug i went in to see the dr for, and she suggested it. It seemed like the one that wll help i just don't knwo if i can stick it out.

I started it, and like it. I battle with the anxiety it causes too, but I just take Klonopin as needed.
I didn't have any of the other side effects though, and found my energy levels increased

You may want to consider changing to the brand name wellbutrin. My pdoc won't even prescribe the generic because there have been problems with reactions to the fillers in the generic. Might help. Hard to tell.

I have to take the brand name for it as well. I had serious side-effects on the others but have done really well with XL and the brand of it. Everyone's chemistry is different in how they react to each one.

Whichever Wellbutrin, can be known to cause these issues so please call the doc either way to let them know about the side-effects you are experiencing. Could be an issue of the generic, could be the drug itself, need a different version of it, or perhaps something else entirely.

Please call the doc to let them know. Hang in there!!!!
