I was put on a low dose of Seroquel (50mg) to help me sleep.
An hour after taking them at night I would be knocked out so they worked a treat.
However I have been having sleep problems again so the psychiatrist has increased me to 100mg.
But now I dont get knocked out at night, not even sleepy and wake on and off all thro the night.
Anyone any experiences of this or any suggestions????

I am not positive about this, but I heard when I was working in mental health that seroquel works as a sleep aid if prescribed under 100mg. An old psychiatrist told me this and he has since retired so I can't go back and talk to him about it. I just remember him saying that. He had said that 100mg you start theraputic levels. I never went over 25mg because that would knock me out for 2 days and I had to stop taking it.

Could you be beginning a manic episode (not sure what your diagnosis is)?
When I get manic my ambien is like a sugar pill. Nothing will put me to sleep and make me stay asleep.

Yes I have read that a mood stablizer in conjunction with an anti depressant is beneficial for depression. I have also seen the commercials on TV advertising it for Abilify and Seroquel. Maybe it is working so well on the depression you are just not tired! Lets hope anyway....
