Hi, finally my pdoc has allowed me to address my ADD, it's been 5 years of working with my mood stabilizer for my Bipolar-II(mild), and I was told back then that is what was to be treated first, then the ADD.
Okay, just started Fri. at 18mg, he said to take that for the first 4 weeks if it doesn't help then take 2 a day for the 2 weeks close to our next appt. (in 6wks) Does anyone here use it? Does it work as soon as you start it, or does it take a few days? So far it is subtle, I do not know if it is power of suggestion, but I actually completed a little chore at home, organizing a room, yay!! Plus vaccumed, etc. It was almost like the focus I had 5yrs ago while taking Phenterimine (stimulant/diet pill) for weight loss, but not as stimulating as the diet aid, which I suspect 30mg's of phenterimine vs 18mg of concerta (time released) was much stronger and shorter acting, due to not designed for slow release. Forgive my ramblings, I was just curious to hear how others using this or had used this med did with it.
Thanks ahead of time.
