Hi all,

Just going through the meds here...
Anyone's experience with luvox? I'm taking 25 mg at night and working up to 50/100 mg. Hoping it helps, although I feel kind of anxious now... and thirsty. Just trying to get to the 3 week mark.

I just tried Luvox and it was too sedating for me. I have taken it in the past and remember that effect. I was sleeping 16 hours and still too tired to really be effective at work. Just my experience though, it may be different for you. Try looking at the drugs link at the top of the page, it has Luvox with a lot of feedback from others.

I believe Luvox is an SSRI so it does help with depression and is actually FDA approved to treat social anxiety. It also worked very well for me for OCD.

Hope I'm not posting too much here. I'm a bit nervous, frustrated about these meds... not the best patient. And I think I must be very sensitive to meds because I seem to have side-effects at the lowest doses. Sheesh. Anyway, I took 25 mg of the Luvox last night and felt very tired but still had trouble sleeping and didn't get to sleep until 2AM. But then I didn't want to get out of bed! I stayed in bed until 1:30 PM. That is not like me at all. I just have a super groggy feeling today. I remember I felt the same way when I tried Celexa. I never have been able to stick with a med because I'm too sensitive I guess? So I am trying to think of every possible way to wait this one out... I think I may take 1/2 a pill (only 12.5 mg) today around 5 PM. Hopefully then I won't have as much grogginess or insomnia and maybe I can slowly work back up to the 25 mg and then to 50 mg. I feel like a weirdo. But it really seems like one just needs to work through it...
