I've been on 100 mg of Seroquel XR for three months now and it's been working great. Before I got back on meds I had horrible insomnia and slept maybe 3 hours per night with some nights in which I did not sleep at all, was just up all night.

So last night, after three months of good sleep, I was up until 4 am. I got two and a half hours of sleep.

I don't understand it. I'm hoping it goes better tonight. If not, I don't know whether to call my shrink or not. I see him next month.

Has anyone else had this happen? Why does it happen? It was so sudden.

Did you have any caffeine yesterday? maybe chocolate? I've had to cut down on caffeine after 3pm to help me sleep better and my inlaws can't even have chocolate after 5pm.

I hope you sleep better tonight!
Thanks for this!

No, nothing different really. Had a good day, lots of energy, not anxious or hyped up, and felt sleepy when I went to bed but just never fell asleep until 4 am.

Perhaps you ate too soon before taking your dose? Ideally you should take it on an empty stomach.

I have had insomnia while on seroquel in the past before, usually it's because I had an upset stomach, drank too much caffiene, or ate shortly before taking it.
