It worked for me very well at first then stopped working, they even increased the dose and nothing. Everyone is different though.

Gave me one nasty bout of panic attacks... took it that one time and never again. I also have Panic Disorder though and Effexor XR has been a lifesaver for me there where other anti-depressants seemed to either do nothing or make it all worse... and I'm a caffeine addict who needs to take Vyvanse to get out of bed and feel awake for the first few hours afterwards, more than anything else... so I'm probably a bad example of drug response. LOL.

it helped me gain some of my motivation back after i hit 5 mg. so for me, it gave me something after searching long and hard for a motivational med. anyhow, hope that helps. it also helped me with paranoia and rushing thoughts. i still struggle some with motivation, but it's not as bad as before.

Sorry that you haven't noticed a change yet.

Is this med the nth one that you've tried to gain some control over depression? It is for me. I have a bit more energy and more clear thoughts now. That was noticed pretty quickly though, within days.

I'd recommend talking with your doc about it asap ~ perhaps you need a boost in dosage or a different medication to start feeling results. Best wishes to you!

It helps me alot. In fact, at one point to get it cheaper, I got it through a canadian pharmacy. They have the generic there, so it cost me something like $100 or maybe a little more or less for a three month supply. I just got a script from my pdoc and sent away for it.
It helps with my paranoia and irritability and depression.

I got a free month of it with a card my Dr gave me, also it pays for most of my co-pay for the first year, if you don't have insurance you should still be able to get the free first month.
