Hey guys,

I am on Effexor 300mgs daily for depression and to help with symptoms of BPD. I usually take 150mgs in the morning and 150mgs at night. I woke up early this morning and must have taken 150mgs, before falling back asleep and waking up a few hours later and taking the dose again....so basically i have taken my 300mg day's worth all in the morning time. If I leave out tonights dose and return to "normal" tomorrow, should that be ok?

I have been a bit distressed the past few days so i think that's contributed to this happening, as i havent done it before.

Thanks xxx

It shouldn't make much difference. Just don't take more effexor tonight.

It shouldn't make much difference, although you may feel a bit funny today having taken the higher dose all at once. just don't take them again tonight.

I did this once with different meds, I doubled up the dose in the morning while hubby was away and I had four children under six to look after ! I had to call my mum to take three of the children to school via a taxi made a bottle for the baby and lay him down then went to sleep myself for four hours !

Thankfully the baby slept all that time ....

I agree it shouldnt make much difference. I take 225mg in one dose- pdoc has never mentioned splitting it. As long as you havent od on the dose I think it should be ok
