hello again.i ve already made a thread about getting off antipsychotics. now i ask specifically when will my libido, my sexual desire, etc come back?
the last antipsychotic i was taking was abilify30, and i stopped it 3 weeks ago without withdrawals symptoms.also before 2months from that i was also taking geodon wich i stopped it cold turkey and had some bad insomnia and anorexia for a few weeks. the pharmacist told me that the drug will stop after a week from stopping it, a doctor told me that it would stop immediatelly, so i took a telephone in one company from a similar drug and they told me that my libido would come back after two or three months. i was on antipsychotics for many years and now all of a sudden i dont take anything.but for the momment i still feel the same i dont have feelings, emotions, interests, sexual desire, nothing. i am like a veg? how do you call it in your countries does anyone knows when will my libido come back after the antipsychotics? |

It can take a while for the chemicals to get out of your system and have your body return to normal. Give it a few months after the last one you swallowed. GL

I know how frustrating it is to not have your libido. Did you quit ALL of your meds? or just the antipsychotics? In any event - as the post above me said it will take a month or two for your libido to return after everything is out of your system. Is it just the lack of desire or is it that you are unable to have sex due to erectile dysfunction (if you are male?)? Keep us informed! Hang in there! Jerry

Just try and see if you can get it going. When I had libido (female) problems, I found if I just, err, tried things alone, I would get interested enough to make it a 2 person show.
