My ex, whom I've discussed here a few times, has started taking Tegretol, a drug designed to relieve pain, among other things. She has a history of chronic pain so being prescribed this drug is in and of itself is not unusual.
What is unusual is her latest behavior. Unfortunately my ex, Sarah, has a history of drug abuse. Mainly pot, but also includes speed and an assortment of other things. She's back with her druggie ex who has access to all these things which makes her behavior doubly suspicious. I've heard thru the grapevine she's been behaving very frantically and energized. A Psychologist friend of mine who has contact with Sarah's mother thinks she's on speed again, though Sarah has alleged it's due to her new pain medication, Tegretol. I looked up on Tegretol here and couldn't help but laugh. Drowsiness, dizziness, fatigue? Seems like she's at the opposite end of the spectrum. I'm not on any manhunt, but I only wish to solidify a few suspicions. Her mother (a woman in deep denial about her daughter's mental health) has put it down to "Interaction with her anti_depressants" - seems a little reaching... So what say you, guys? Her hyperstimulation is caused by Tegretol ... or a drug such as Speed? You may view my speed theory as mere conjecture, and that's cool. But I do know her and her history. I'm more interested in whether, realistically, Tegretol would 'stimulate' someone in such a manner. From everything I've read so far, it's a big, blinding 'NO!' Thanks in advance. ![]() |
