I take 300 mgs. Lamictal. By mutual agreement my P-doc added 150 mgs. Wellbutrin on Friday. He said, if necessary I can go up to 300 mgs. of Wellbutrin. So after 4 days, I am feeling a little weird. I feel very spaced out. Really fatigued. I thought Wellbutrin was supposed to be a bit of an "energizer". I couldn't do multiplcation of 64 x 2.50 when my calculator didn't work. Today I got lost 3 times driving in familiar territory (made the wrong turns). When I was taking Lamictal alone I didn't feel this way. Do you think this is just a temporary situation while my body & mind get used to the Wellbutrin? I was going to call my P-doc today, but thought I'd wait about 2 weeks to see how it goes. Your input appreciated in advance.

I had a bad reaction to Wellbutrin. I couldn't focus on anything I was doing, couldn't sleep and couldn't stay still. It didn't go away until I stopped Wellbutrin... I've figured out that I don't do well on ADs that mess with dopamine. It is worth noting that one of the generic manufacturers has a really bad version of Wellbutrin; I'm sorry I don't remember the companies name but someone around should.

I'm on that combo. The Lamictin alone didn't sort out my depression, so we had to add something else. It took a while before it kicked in, and there were a few days in the beginning where I really battled. But thereafter, things fell into place nicely. Anxiety, aggitation and aggreesiveness are things I need to be careful of now.
Wait a while, but still remain critical |

That's my drug combo too. Still titrating up on Lamictal. Actually recently went down from 450mg to 300mg on the Wellbutrin (450mg is the max dose), and briefly had a little less anxiety but I can't say whether that's the meds or something else. When I went the other direction (300 to 450) I had migraines for a month! That had never happened before, and they kicked in right after I took my pills in the AM. But eventually it went away.
