I have been taking 75 MG Sertraline for about 2 months and it's been helping with the anxiety and depression. But I have terrible night sweats from it. I don't really want to change the med because it has been working otherwise. Do these ever go away? Any advice?

Talk to your pdoc but I would also speak to your GP about hormonal issues.
Thanks for this!

I take fluoxetine (prozac) and, when combined with some other meds, caused night sweats for me too - like get up and have to shower night sweats.

Trazodone turned out to be the offending companion to the SSRI. I have sinced stopped trazodone, but still have the occasional night sweat (yuck).

I keep a fan going at night, it helps.

Interesting about trazadone.....I don't get the nite sweats but get day sweats. Caffeine also seems to really set them off. I have talked to two Dr's about them. One Dr. sugested an herb to treat menopause. Now me, I am 67.....please I am older and have sweats a lot.....REALLY!!.....It does a number on your hair as well. I do take trazadone and thanks for metioned that you thought it was the culprit (elliemay)

Often the initial symptoms of various psych drugs go away as you body adjusts. Ask your psychiatrist about it. You might want to give it another couple of months.
