Yes - you're supposed to take your meds every day for a reason. And missing some antidepressants can cause withdrawal symptoms. if you're finding it difficult to remember to take your meds, buy and use a daily pill box.

This is probably a good question to ask your doctor. I don't know too much about how it will effect you (maybe other people do), and I'm not so good with taking mine, either. What has been going on for you lately? Why do you think you've been forgetting it? Is there something else going on in your life that is maybe subconciously making you forget? Just a thought..

I guess my question to you is what could you do to help you remember? I leave mine on my nightstand for my night medicines (one of the pill boxes b/c I take others as well). When I shut the light out before bed, I take them. Maybe if you can determine a routine, that might help?

It depends on the half-life of the pill and how much you are taking. Sometimes it will stay in your system for a week, sometimes only 24 hours.

I have heard that even medications that are effective, they have a placebo effect to a degree. The more confident you are in the pill you are taking, generally means better results. If you feel guilty about not taking the pills it could make you feel worse than what you really are.

Doggiedo has a really good suggestion. If you take your pills at the same time everyday it is easier to take them. Or put them in a place that is visible that you might pass a few times a day so it will be on your mind. Or get one of those things where you put your daily amount of medication in for all the days of the week. If you don't take it, you will know.

Prozac has a two week half-life, so I'm not sure if you are experiencing withdrawal. Perhaps you are just particularly sensative to it? And yes, if you take your pills at the same time ever day it becomes routine and you remember them better.

It could have been brought on by not taking the meds each day, maybe it was just bad days.

However it is good to get a routine going in regard to medication. Pill Boxs are a good idea. I would forget to take mine. Or sometimes I had already my medication but forgot I had taken them.

I take more than just one pill. So now my chemist gives me my pills in a pack for the week. Days are marked and the time of day to take them. Now I know for sure if I have taken them or not. It has also helped me to establish a routine.

So whatever works for you......... make sure to take your medication as advised so the dips are evened out.

Good Luck
