I'm in the middle of switching medication from Lamotrigine to Seroquel. I'm on my full dose of Seroquel (150 mg) and am half way through getting off the Lamotrigine (50 mg right now, then 25, then done. Coming down from 200 mg).

Seroquel is suppose to knock you right out, but for me I end up staying up really late. I started taking it at 10pm, but now I take it at 7pm, and still cant manage to fall asleep till at least 1.

And something I noticed this morning, I have a lot of small red bumps on my shoulders/back and a bit on my chest. I thought they were just weird zits but I tried to pop some and there was nothing in them, they just kinda bled from being ripped open. That being said I know I'm going through some skin issues. Its winter for one, and for two I haven't exactly showered in 4 days (yay depression) so it really could be from that.

Should I call my doctor? I know this isn't normal but is it something to be worried about?

I would call the dr. Sounds like side effects to me. Sorry, that doesnt sound very fun. I wouldnt worry, just call dr so you can get some sleep and take care of the rash/bumps. Hope you feel much better soon. :-)
Thanks for this!

I have gotten opposite side effects with other meds myself. In fact, nearly ever single time I get a side effect it's opposite. It is termed "paradoxical side effect." It's not something to worry about; treat it like any other side effect.
Thanks for this!

lamotrigine can trigger rashes, especially when starting or coming off it.

I get paradoxical reactions frequently. It sucks. Seroquel didn't help me sleep at all either
