My breasts started leaking a little today.

I'm not sure what to do.

My doc is on vacation. I am have success with this AAP and do not want to discontinue unless absolutely necessary.

Instead of 10mg of Saphris, maybe if I drop to 5mg and get symptom control, and keep prolactin levels down, maybe, maybe...?

I am very new to all this.

Anyone with experience here? Do I need to get blood levels established?

I had the same side effect with Risperidone - boy did it freak me out. I'd say wait until you talk to your Dr. if the med is otherwise working for you. I found that this side effect eventually went away once my body adjusted to the med.

Really? It might not be a done deal then? That is a relief just to contemplate as a possibility. Thanks.

Thank you for your reply. It gives me hope and helps me feel not quite so weird while I wait to speak to my doctor. I won't change anything until I speak with him. It is really a minor occurrence. Just enough to freak me out and a real first!

That can especially be a concern in young females, especially those going through puberty and who haven't stopped growing yet.

Yes, true. But I am way past that now. Let's say beyond that and on the other side, so it is of a special new concern. Time to update the assigned avatar.

Are you menstruating? The prolactinemia from my Risperdal actually stopped my periods. They returned to normal once I lowered my dosage. The difference was as little as 0.5 mg. When it first happened, I stressed about being pregnant and finally had my prolactin level checked.

Dragonfly, thanks for your reply. Seems my notifications aren't working or I would have responded sooner. I'll be switching to Latuda within a few days and see if that helps in the long run, though it won't immediately. Still have elevated prolactin levels, even though I lowered my Saphris dosage :-(
Thanks for this!
