i was just wondering what meds are good for schizophrenia...
specifically for symptoms such as auditory & tactile hallucinations, and for paranoid delusions.

There alot of medication out for schizophrenia . Your doctor has to find the right one thats works for you. If the meds., you are on now isn't working you need to let them know so they can change it. Take care and good luck

well, im not really on anything right now for those symptoms...
i feel afraid to tell them, its part of my the paranoid thing... makes it really hard to trust anyone and open up cuz i fear the results of such a confession...

so maybe if people with paranoia and hallucinations could tell me what has worked for them.....

I was on Topamax for OCD and SI, but I understand it is also used for treatment of hallucinations. Some of the other bipolar meds that I take were originally developed for Sz.

It's important to take the necessary leap in dealing with professionals, even if you don't feel comfortable. I know. I was not fully forthcoming with my first pdoc, and ended up having a drug-induced psychotic episode due to a lack of information.
