I've been a little paranoid lately. (There is a dispute going on it I'm BPD or Bi-Polar ) The pysch. is thinking of putting me on Geodon or Abilify. Does anyone know of the "nastys" they cause? I hate to pack on the pounds and I hate the feeling of anti-psychotics. Is it worth the pain for a little paranoia?

I am currently taking both of those meds plus Lexapro. The only side effect I have from the Geodon is tremors. That annoys me tremendously, but both have stabilized my moods so I put up with it.

I am bipolar as well as BPD, so the three I am on have really helped me. I wish you the best.

P.S. I have not had any weight gain while on the meds either.

when my brother took geodon.. it made him extremely tired at first.

geodon made me very tired and i finally switched meds. i take abilify and haven't had any negative side effects

Thank you for your input. I know I have been having trouble sleeping, so I will need to monitor the sleep and take that in to account.
