I have been perscribed Adderall for 2.5 years. Before that I was taking Dexadrine. Never any problems. 20mg twice a day is my dose. About a week ago, every time I take it I feel very sick. Heart racing, nausea, unable to eat anything, just overall feeling really sick. I cut the dose yesterday and only to 10mg twice a day to see what would happen and I didn't feel as sick but I felt very tired and zoned out (dissociated) all day. Anyone have experience with side effects after so long without them? I dont take it for ADD but for treatment resistant depression and chronic fatigue. I'm on other meds too but nothing new. Thanks.

are you on brand or generic adderall?

didn't you recently switch from topamax to valproate?

also, are you taking the adderall with food?

Generic I think. And no, no recent changes- I've been on both topomax and depakote in the past but it's been years.

I would guess the issue is with the formulation of the generic.

Are you sure they gave you the same generic you always get? Could it be a different manufacturer this time? If it's the same manufacturer, my guess would be poor quality control/a bad batch.

It could be the generic. They have recently changed I know that. The pills even look different. Also, go to your primary doctor and get a full check up with blood work. You could have an underlying medical condition that you are not aware of that has developed recently.

It is a different generic, I never thought of that. The last pills I had were bright pink and these are orange. Thanks for the input, hopefully that's all it is!

Seems like my T mentioned there are problems for some with the generic Adderall. A change in manufacturers can really cause issues for some people. I had that issue with generic wellbutrin xl.
