I was on that with lamictal. I wasn't numb because "I" wasn't there at all. I had no thoughts in my head. My personality was gone. No life in my voice. Completely apathetic. The lights were on but, "I" wasn't home. I never knew what feeling like I was empty before could feel like until I took that crap.
But.... It works for some and when you feel like hell, nearly anything is worth trying. |

I have been on it for, I think about three or four months now.. I have not felt that numb feeling at all. I am on the higest dose possible, as well. GL, I hope it goes well for you.

I'm on it, at 60 mg/day and don't feel numb. But I'm curious if you've been on it before and it made you numb, why is your Dr. prescribing it to you again? There are lots of other anti-D's that might not have that effect on you. Did you express your concern to your Dr?

i'm on citalopram 20 as well. i don't find it makes me numb but it does make me incredibly sleep and my friend had the opposite problem of never being able to sleep on it. however if you've already had a bad experience of it then i don't see why a second go would be worth it. i was on escitalopram for a while. much better for me.
