Has anyone used this? I know they use it alot for alcohol addiction. I have been on it in the past for SI addiction. I may actually use it again? I am trying to find more info on it online. If anyone has any info on it can you let me know. I was not on it very long. I also read they have used it for Bipolar as well.
Thank you!

Haven't used it. Want to use it. It's on my list of experiments I'd like to do.
There is a lot of hype and excitement in some circles around low-dose naltrexone. If you did a search on that, "low-dose naltrexone" in quotations, you'll pull up a good site. I think we're learning that the brain has modulatory systems of many different sorts, and naltrexone seems to "re-set" one of those modulators to a better place. I think it's being tried for numerous different disorders because it seems to help in ways that cut across categories, the way we usually arrange things. Do you have a doctor who would prescribe it for you? I'd have to get a compounding pharmacy to make it up for me, as the standard dose is far too strong for maintenance (long-term) treatment. Lar |

My new pdoc may use it. I used it in the hospital and it really did help not only with my SI addiction but it gave me quite a boost in my energy level as well. From what I am seeing online they are starting too use it more for Bipolar. Thank you Larry I will check out the search on it. But yes when I was on it it was only for a couple of weeks. What I am finding online is they are using it as an injectable where as when I had it it was oral.
