Does anybody have any strategies for taking your meds on time that have worked well?
I got taken off a bunch, and put on a bunch of other ones, and some I have to take multiple times a day, or precisely at the same time every day, or at differing doses every day as we try to make the level move up or down, and quite frankly, I'm not doing well at this! Not at all. I would love some suggestions! Candy |

Wow that can be a real problem! Scheduling was something I never had trouble with. Since the injury (now 19 1/2 years...) it's a struggle.
While many ppl use those medicine dispensers, days of weeks with hours and such containers with plastic lids... those just don't work for me. Maybe something simpler? Each med is in a different bottle. Do you have a counter area big enough to spread them out, each on their own "TIME" sheet...maybe making each hour a different color? Put the pill bottle on the square of time/color when you next take it. After you take it, put it on the NEXT time/color when you need to take it again. I think if you had a watch with a timer, that could help some, but still wouldn't help you remember all of the meds you might need to take that hour, moment, only that you need to check! Do you have a clock/radio timer? If some meds need to be taken hour by hour, maybe the snooze button could help? IDK but maybe something I said here will give you an idea that works? TC!

When I was on alot of different meds at different times I bought alarm clocks (made sure each one had to be manually shut off in order for the noice to stop LOL) one for each medication and labeld them. then I set them to go off for the next time I had to take that medication, before sutting off the alarm and setting it for the next dose I took my medication. After about a week I no longer had to use the alarm clocks because taking the medication was a habit and automatic.

I use stackable daily pill boxes, and I have alarms in my pda set to go off at the times (3 times a day) that I need to take my meds. Much of the time I know I it's time before the alarm goes off, but it's a good back up for me.

I find it easy to remember to take my medication when I associate taking it with something that is a daily ritual. For example, in the morning I always take it after I brush my teeth. At night, I always take it immediately after dinner. When you get into a routine, it becomes a daily ritual. Good luck with that !
