I started taking Geodon 40mg about 3 weeks ago and after the first night I started to notice some legitimate improvements with my thoughts and mood while taking 12.5mg of Zoloft with it.

However, after about 6-7 days I noticed I had anxiety (mental & physical) that I never had before and it has been the same way since (about 2 weeks now). Also, ever since taking it my memory has been shot. It's almost like I'm just existing, yet still having racing thoughts with anxiety. Very strange and frustrating since I started to feel a positive change. I even bumped it to 80mg for a few nights and nothing. I also sleep 10-12 a night which I'm grateful for, because at this point I'd rather not deal with anything.

Has anyone had this issue?

I also see my doc this week and I'm going to ask about a new AP called LATUDA and give that a go as it seems to work on psychotic thoughts/racing thoughts/depression pretty much all in one while not making you so fog-minded. Any reviews on Latuda would be great too. Thanks everyone! I'm glad I found this board!

With any AP it can be hit or miss as well as an adjustment period to what works. I take Geodon in addition with Lexapro and have found this combination to to work well for me to control my symptoms. I have been on this combo for several years with dosages varying according to symptoms.

Perhaps give Geodon a little more time for you to adjust to it, but most importantly suggest that you talk to your pdoc about your concerns.

No, my dx is schizoaffective; bipolar type. My psychosis is independent of my roller coaster moods.
