Been on Geodon for three months. It helps with paranoia and tactile hallucinatons but has not done a thing for my auditory hallucinations. At 200mg a day I'm starting to doubt it's effectiveness. Such high doses should produce better results, correct? Or am I being impatient?
My doc just added Abilify. He swears two anti-psychotics are safe but I'm nervous... |

Geodon was always "meh" for me...not super effective, and gave me an absolutely AWFUL tremor as well!
And Abilify was terrible for me...it made me extremely depressed... Hopefully you have luck with them though! |

Ablify seems to be helping a little bit. Only been on 5mg for a few days so it's too early to tell. |

I am on 240mg of Geodon for my schizophrenia. Like you, it helps some with my paranoia and it has helped a lot with tactile hallucinations. Auditory hallucinations, however, are coming in with a vengeance. I have tried abilify but it made me hurt myself more so no go. I have also tried Saphris (I recommend the black cherry flavor than the regular, bitter doesn't even describe that taste) but it made me so sleepy all the time. Worked quite well though.
