I've been on trazodone for sleep for over a year. I started at 150mg and for the last 6 months have been taking 50mg at bedtime. My doctor just stopped it. I feel so bad; my hands and feet tingle, hot flashes, sweats and flu like symptoms. I didn't think 50mg was a very high dose could this be from stopping the trazadone?

It could be, but no one here is qualified to make that distinction completely accurately. I have a trazadone prescription for anxiety and to help sleep, and it didn't strike me as something I'd get dependent on but everyones different.

I've had it and I think you are having withdrawal.. I would ask for your doctor to give you a slow taper...if necessary split the pills. Only my opinion...hope you get feeling better!

Definitely see if you can cut the 50's in half and go down to 25. your body is used to having that for sleep, and when you don't get sleep, it gets all weird
