Hi everyone,
I have a question about anti-depressants. I was taking cymbalta, and functioning at least some on it, when my pdoc changed my meds to paxil, klonopin, and inderal cold turkey with no weaning me off the cymbalta. I am now feeling totally out of it. Have other people experienced these symptoms coming off one anti-depressant and onto another? Or could this be the klonopin making me feel "crazy" upstairs? Thanks for the input! ![]() |

I've never been on symbolta, but not weaning someone properly off one med before putting them on another doesn't sound right to me. I'm sorry you're going through this!

I've been taken off some antidepressants and have experienced some very nasty side effects, even though pdoc said I should be fine. Until I experienced it I would not have thought it would be that bad . I will not do this again, I will insist on being tapered off. Good Luck to you. If you continue to have problems follow up with your pdoc. |

Thanks for all the replies!
I am starting to feel a little better today. I called my pdoc and told her I was feeling awful yesterday. I had to even have my friend drive up there to get my medications because I was feeling so off. Hopefully, as soon as my levels get regulated I will start to feel better! For future reference, anyone deciding to switch medications may want to be informed of how they may feel being taken off one cold turkey and then being put onto another one!!!! ![]() |
