Hi Jerry,

My doc has put me on lorazepam and remeran. I suffer from severe panic attacks and have many troubles with anxiety. I was surfing online today and found something called Anxietril or something like that. Anyhow, it said it worked the same as remeran but it's an herbal formula. I wonder if it would be better for me to take that. I currently take a combination of herbs and vitamins that help keep me on track. What's your opinion? Also, how do these medications work?

Hi Fayerody... that's not good. How long did you take it before the bad dreams started? I just started on remeron. I have panic and panic attacks very frequently. Any suggestions on what may work better? I think if I could get rid of the panic I could make progress faster.

Ativan helped with anxiety, but I only took it when I needed it back then.

Remeron was hell. It worked for my depression and anxiety for about 8 months I believe I was on it.

I gained weight that caused my depression to be worse the side effects were horrible. I ate more, I slept more, I had trouble getting up, I was drowsy all the time. I would wake up freaking out from time to time sitting straight up in bed wondering if I took my pill or not before bed, that never happened with me before. Use to freak me out.

After a certain amount of time the meds stopped working for me, I went off of it and onto Effexor, and the withdrawals were terrible, I felt like I had to be in a dtox program.

However once it was completely out of my system my weight went down, and I was pretty much back to my original size.

Just didn't like being on it at all.
