I recently took myself off of all my medications because I'm tired
of being on mind altering chemicals and because I've been on so many in the past 6 months that I didn't even know which of the five diagnoses I got still applied. After a couple weeks of this I got a diagnosis of Psychotic Disorder: Not Otherwise Specified. Pretty much a massive umbrella diagnosis, but that's beside the point. My pdoc in the outpatient program I go to said he was going to start me on Latuda on Monday. Does anyone have any experience with it or know anyone on it? It's an atypical antipsychotic, and I've already been on multiple, so I don't expect any surprises, but there's an unusally small amount of people who've been RX'd Latuda, so I figured I'd ask here.

I've never heard of it. Is it something new? What other names does it go by? Thanks.

It is fairly new, and that's my issue: no one knows about it.
I start it tomorrow, so I'll report back with results

The people on some other boards who've take it seem to have mostly good experiences, but as always, YMMV. I'll probably be starting it on Monday, so we're in the same boat.

This is the absolute best antipsychotic on the market.
Very rarely will you ever hear me praise a psychiatric medication, but this one is absolutely perfect. It has very effective antipsychotic effects, but absolutely zero side effects.
