can olanzapine be the reason that i have problems in focusing,attention etc

i read in wikipedia that olanzapine works by blocking and reducing the activity of dopamine in the brain.but medication for adhd increase dopamine because is cosidered to have an important role in the ability of focus,attention.Im taking zyprexa,ativan,lyrica and lexapro.im having problems in attention,focus so can this be the reason?

Is this the last med added on? And you were fine before?

If not I would strongly suspect the lyrica. My friend was it and while he was on it he didn't utter one sane sentence in those weeks he was on it. He was so lost it was scary. They sent him for a brain scan thinking he had had a stroke.

This would be extremely interesting. I just realized that the time where I was having severe
focus issues, was when I was on Zyprexa alone. As soon as that was out of my system,
I went back to normal.

I'm going to say yes on this one, it probably is the Zyprexa causing your focus issues.

I couldn't say either way, but ADHD & psychosis are a bit more complicated than what you said. It's not clear but from my understanding the dopamine pathways in ADHD and psychosis are in different parts of the brain and involve different receptors (anti-psychotics affect D2 dopamine receptors and ADHD meds affect D4 receptors). However we don't know exactly how these conditions and meds work so it could be. I recommend asking your pdoc which of your meds is the likely culprit.
