Under my signature you will see my med cycle. For the past month my husband said I have been lactating. He didn't tell me until last night. Sure enough when I checked, I am. Our youngest is 9 years old. I've tried my best to find an answer and no sites indicate this is normal. Have anyone ever had experience with lactation from a medication? No there is no way I am pregnant. My husband has a vasectomy and I am taking Lupron and Premarin to get my body to mimic menopause. Please help. Thanks.

I haven't personally but I have heard of it before with certain medications but can't think of them off the top of my head. Maybe have a talk to your doc about it? They should be able to give you specific information about what might be causing it and what you can do.

Some antipsychotics cause lactation, in both sexes. In your case, lactation can be a very rare side effect of Trileptal. Did you go up in dose around the time the lactation started?

I think some meds increase can prolactin to levels that can cause lactation.

My med combo cause increased prolactin and causes me to lactate. I'm 20 and havnt had kids. I suggest you get a blood test to check your prolactin, it could also be a sign that something is abnormal with your pituitary gland. I had to change meds and my prolactin went back to a normal range, but I'm still lactating 6months later, apparently it can take a yr to stop
