I'm not entirely sure how to phrase this. My lithium xanax cocktail has been working really well for a while now, but for the last few weeks my moods and attention span are all over the place. I have an ok dr. But I'm just scared to up my lithium I'm not on a very high dosage to begin with but is that a thing that I can suggest cuz I really have no explanation for my swings right now life should be pretty sweet but I'm just kinda feelin lackluster and blah and can't focus, I run my own buisness doing hair so this is not really an option for me to feel this way as my livelyhood depends on my creativity and attitude and drive just feelin frustrated!

Are you bipolar, or what is your illness you don't take an AD , but are on one of the strongest BENZOS , and a strong mood stabilizer. He may not go up on the Xanax how much are you on a day now.

You sound like you could be dealing with depression. You might need to add on an antidepressant. Or maybe back off on the Xanax a bit and see how you feel. Since Xanax is a central nervous system depressant, maybe it's bringing you down too far. The blah feelings and lack of focus you describe could be depression or side effects of too much Xanax. Just something to consider.

Sorry to hear your blah feelings are getting in the way at work. I can see why you're worried.

I've been feeling blah and unmotivated and unenthused by everything, too. In fact, I have a test today in school and it's taking all I've got to make myself study. It's an easy and interesting class... I think part of the problem is that I haven't been taking really good care of myself physically. My sleep schedule is messed up. That messes up my eating schedule. Then my energy level gets messed up.

Have you gotten out of your normal routine? Hope things are going better for you now.

Yes I am bipolar 2 and yes I realize its kind of an odd med combo I'm on (I mean no anti depressant) but the AD's tend to swing me very manic... and as for my xanax I really only take .tmg a day (I perscribed up to 3 a day but as needed so its rare that I take more than 1 unless I have a panic attack) but I am having a hell of a time even seeing my dr for 2 months now my appt has been canceled by the office and I have just been handed my usual scripts and rescheduled for the following month... I'm begining to think its my doctors office not me. Also my partner sees the same doctor and she's been in crisis for 2 weeks and they never called us back so we went to the ER and she's been admitted inpatient in a hospital an hour away... wow sorry that was a lot of rambling there's just too much going on right now...

No I have not been following a routine lately I normally walk the dog and try to eat healthy and get up and go to bed around the same time, and I have not been doing any of it...I just feel totally unmotivated and I'm trying to force myself to at least get up and do 1 thing I need to do and 1 thing that makes me happy... hopefully I"ll steer back in the right direction that way
