I am in treatment with a psychiatrist I don't like much since he told me that in his opinion DID doesn't exist (I am considering leaving him and going to other) that has put me on pimozide (at night) with lorazepam and deanxit (i don't remember what is the active principle of deanxit, if someone does...well).

I heard pimozide is really strong and it's used for schizophrenic patients. I asked my psychiatrist what was i diagnosed with (because the fist day he asked me questions to know if i was schizophrenic or delusional like am i suspecting of people around me, do i feel like iwas watched, etc...) and he said I have no mental illness I'm just too sensitive and I think too much (????). Then, why he sends me those meds? Are they also used for anxiety? Why people are so reluctant to tell me WHAT'S UP WITH MY DIAGNOSE?

Welcome. I'm not familar with any of the drugs you are taking expect for lorazepam and know I have taken it for anxiety. Since you have your doubts about this doctor you might want to get a second opinion and see if you can find one that is more to your liking. One big question would be are the meds helping you? Also, he may not feel he can make a diagnosis yet if he hasn't been seeing you long. Just my thoughts. Best wishes to you and hope you feel better soon.

I don't understand why this Doc has given you prescriptions for these various medications if he thinks you don't have a mental illness. Taking prescription drugs as I well know affect our lives from day to day. Your intuitive thought of finding another doc is probably one you could consider seriously. I would do it as soon as possible as there are side effects with drugs. I have taken many different ones and some of the side effects have not been good. even before taking them, Im not a Doctor however maybe your second opinion will decide whether you should take them or not. I learned that It's my body and mind that is being affected not my doctor's.

Deanxit is a anxiety med, that is banned in a few countries, Pimozide is AP for Schizophrenia , and loz for anxirty . Pretty potent mix for someone he says has no mental illness, this is a strange thing that's going on.

Truth is this was what was going on: I came to the doctor saying evil spirits were chasing me and I thought they were going to get me and I even heard their voices in my head. It sounds pretty psychotic I've been told. He asked me questions which I think have to do with schizophrenia:
am i very suspicious of people? do i feel like people plotted against me? and things like that. he asked me too about the hallucination whether I actually heard an external voice or it was inside my head. Well it was inside my head, I didn't hear it like I can hear a radio, and he told me that's something similar to an hallucination but not an hallucination. I'm really scared.
Now it's over but for a few days I barely could sleep because I was so agitated. I told my mother I don't wanna keep seeing this doctor because I don't trust him and she told me it's okay, but that the fact I'm taking meds who are useful for schizophrenia doesn't mean I am schizophrenic. Lately I'm always thinking about schizophrenia...I thought I was schizophrenic. I am afraid about the deanxit banning. why it is banned in a few countries? That scared the hell out of me. This doctor worries me a lot because he denies also the existence of DID, but at the same time, he's really old and must be really experienced, I mean, if he was such a bad professional he wouldn't be there...

P'docs prescribe the med that they determine will help their patient the most. I live in Australia and was on Serzone. Serzone was then banned in a number of countries but not the USA. So I lost access to a medication that I found most helpful.

See how you go on the meds that have been prescribed and if you dont feel okay always go back to your doc and see if they need tweaking.
