and I have a couple of questions. It's been three weeks since I was put back on it and I'm still feeling very sleepy. Sometimes I take a nap almost right after getting up but most of the time I'm okay till the middle of the afternoon. I don't remember feeling this way the last time I was on it. Any comments??

I'd much rather be in Celexa but the insurance won't pay for it. Back on Lexapro...

When do you take it? I take mine around 6 pm so I can go sleep and not feel drowsy all day. My side effects have eased up over the first few months.

Lexapro use to wake me up and give me a rush of energy for around 4 hours and then drop me like a ton of bricks.

It's so weird how the same medications affect people in so many different ways.

Hope things work out for you

Good luck

I don't have too much of a sleepy problem. But, my focus has been going out of wack in my afternoon class. I haven't figured out if it is the original problem or the Lexapro. My doctor had recommended Lexapro as a first attempt. She seemed to think it was less effective than some of the others but with less side effects. Perhaps she is right.
