Hi Everyone,
I have a / about zyprexa. I have recently had a baby and devoloped high blood sugars during the prenancy. They aren't too high, but high enough that I had to make some dietary changes. My blood sugars have not gone done, since having the baby. I would like to take zyprexa again as it actually worked for me, but I worry b/c it can elavate blood sugars. Does anyone know of a different drug that works like zyprexa that doesn't elavate blood sugars. I have already tried seroquel,risperdal..
Any thoughts would be welcome. Thanks

Did you have gestational diabetes? I had problems with blood sugar and proteins during my pregnancy which resulted in me becoming eclampsic.

After the birth of my daughter I was diagnosed with hypoglycemia. Have you had a GTT or anything done since having the baby? Because perhaps things have changed slightly in your body since the pregancy. Just something I would check into with your ob/gyn, and letting both docs know what is going on might not be a bad idea, if they don't already know.

(((Cara)))) hope things settle down a bit for you there, and congrats on the little one.

hugs, Lisa

Lisa,
Hi nice to meet you. I test my blood sugars a few times a day now. When I say high I mean about 130-170. What is a GIT?
Thanks

Be careful with it you need to keep the sugars lower and my zyprexa rose mine. Hope you can take clonosapam or klonipin. That is a good subsutute, I used instead;and sometimes compromizine
