I want to know any information about these two drugs used for treating bipolar disorder. What do you know, have you been on them, are they an effective drug for this disorder?

If you are using loratadine to treat bipolar... it would be way way off label.

Like so far off label... I can't even come up with something clever to say about it.

Loratadine is know by brand as Claritin, as far as i know?
It's an allergy med.
Um... I think it's kind of similar in structure to a class of ADs.

But I've never heard it used for treatment of a mood disorder.
Though, if you are at the point where you are grasping at straws... erm.

I'm not sure.
Could it possibly be a different med?

Gapadetin- Could you mean gabapentin?
It's also marketed brand as Neurontin in the states, I'm not certain of other countries. It's an AED- Anti-Epileptic Drug/Anti Convulsant.
It can at times be used as a mood stabilizer but a lot of studies have shown [as far as I recall anyway, you should double check this stuff] that it usually needs to be used in conjunction with something else. I have often heard it can be helpful with anxiety though, and did find that myself for the short time I used it. It can also be helpful for neuropathic pain.

You might want to double check on the names of the meds though?

Are these for you or someone else?

Hi-
Who prescribed these drugs for you? I have taken gabapentin, but it was for neurological related pain. It did not work for that, but if made me feel "high". In saying that, I guess feeling "high" is better than depressed, but it also caused me to be very tired and I would have to sleep.

I know the pdocs are using many off label drugs for mental issues, but I never heard of this combination.

How are you feeling?

Why wouldn't you ask them outright?

I'm sorry, was there an indication some where that asking a question is an indication of negative intention or opinion? I apologize if that is the impression given.

I love gabapentin, I take it in conjunction with remeron an antidepressant, it makes me feel normal and relaxed and calm. I feel so much better on it than off.

Gabapentin is prescribed for so many things, that the presence of a gabapentin prescription would not be evidence the person had bipolar. For example, gabapentin can be prescribed for hot flashes and sleep disturbance in menopausal patients. Or seizures, anxiety, pain....
