I am so sorry if there is a thread for this, but I need some advice.

I was on Cymbalta for about 3 years, which did absolutely nothing. So I stopped taking it about 4 months ago. Well, needless to say, things got worse then they already were.

My GP put me on Pristiq, 50 mg. Basically, after ONE tablet, I had NO appetite. I ate nothing the whole day. Further more, I had NO sleep that night. And the following morning, I still wasn't tired, although I could feel my eyes dropping, I was wide awake. And I know it's also normal when starting medication, but the urge to hurt myself was also really strong.

I am kind of scared to take another. I skipped 2 days after the first tablet. I called my doctor but the nasty receptionist wouldn't let me speak to him and it takes days to get an appointment.

What should I do?

I took Pristiq for a short time and didn't have any of those problems with it.

Per the p NP I saw, Pristiq is the "cleaner" version of effexor....made by the same company.

I was on Pristiq, but only a few weeks as it caused me migraines.

Call your Dr back....too bad for the receptionist.
