Oh my Yes! I have that painful tingling in the arms and legs at times, and have noticed that the higher the dose, the more frequently it occurs. Sometimes changing positions or moving can help lessen the effect to help it go away. However, the good news is that as soon as the dose of the medication is lowered, it goes away and seems to be a temporary side effect, not permanent. It is so annoying though; it especially gets to me when I am driving and I cannot do anything about it, or trying to sleep for that matter.

I have talked to my docs about it and they do not have an answer other than lowering the dose; at this time due to other symptoms needing to be controlled by the med, I cannot lower it and am having to live with it. Perhaps your doc may know of something to help with it, talk to him/her. If you learn of something, please, please let me know.

I am sorry I don't have a solution other than changing positions or lowering the dose. Meanwhile if it helps to know you are not alone, you definitely are not. Hang in there!

It's actually a pretty common side effect for Topamax/topiramate. Most people I have spoken to who have taken it have experienced the tingling sensations to varying degrees in various places on the body. Generally it seems to dissipate with time as your body adjusts to the medication. I have experienced this also. Now if I miss a dose for long enough my nose and shins tingle lightly... I can't explain that really.
Thanks for this!

Thank you Fresia, I am going to talk to my Pdoc next week I am at 200 mg a day, its so frustrating I want to run away from my feet, lol and it happens at the most awkward moments, in therapy for one, but I will keep in touch.
